A group of tubers found themselves in a precarious situation on Tuesday afternoon in the waters of the Sacramento River near the Gianella Bridge.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call for search and rescue to respond for a technical rescue at 2:30 p.m.
Authorities say that the tubers, who were tied together, became stuck on a large log in the water.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office Boat and Search and Rescue team quickly responded to the scene along with crews from CAL FIRE Butte Unit.
First responders arrived at the scene of the rescue at 3:06 p.m. It remains unclear if anyone sustained injuries during the incident.
