BUT THIS SEASON, GUESTS CAN EXPECT FLAKES TO FALL SOONER THAN EVER BEFORE. IT USUALLY HAS TO BE ABOUT MID TO LOW 20S FOR US TO EVEN START BLOWING SNOW, BUT I MEAN, WITH OUR NEW TECHNOLOGY NOW, WE’LL BE ABLE TO BE OPEN FOR ABOUT FIVE SIX MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR. JUSTIN OBERMEYER, MARKETING MANAGER FOR AVALANCHE EXPRESS, TAKES US BEHIND THE SCENES AND EXPLAINS HOW THIS NEW TECHNOLOGY IS GIVING SNOW LOVERS MORE TIME TO ENJOY THE SLOPES. ICE SLIDE. OKAY, SO THINK OF LIKE AN ICE RINK AND HOW PEOPLE ARE ABLE TO HAVE ICE IN ABOUT 5060 DEGREE WEATHER. IT’S ABOUT THE SAME THING THERE, JUST WITH A SLOPE. WE GOT A LAYER OF MATTING UNDER IT THAT WILL PUSH NEGATIVE TEN DEGREES GLYCOL. IT’LL KEEP THE ICE HARD TO ABOUT 3 TO 4IN AND KEEP IT SUPER SLICK AND SLIDE DOWN FROM TUBING DOWN THE HILL TO SKATING ON THE RINK. THE TEAM SAYS THERE WILL BE A MULTITUDE OF OFFERINGS, BUT SNOW ACTIVITIES, THEY AREN’T THE ONLY THING THAT GUESTS WILL BE ABLE TO ENJOY. EXPERIENCE MEANS THE MOST. SO WE’RE EXPANDING OUR EXPERIENCE. THE MAN OVERSEEING THE NEW EXPERIENCES AT AVALANCHE EXPRESS IS JOHN CERUTTI, AND HE SAYS, IF YOU AREN’T FEELING SOME FUN IN THE SNOW, BUT THERE’S STILL A LOT TO SEE AND DO. THE CHRISTMAS VILLAGE. IT’S REALLY GOING TO BE DECKED OUT IN A THEME THAT’S GOING TO SCREAM CHRISTMAS. WE’RE GOING TO HAVE TWO CONCESSION TRAILERS HOT CHOCOLATE, ADULT DRINKS, FUNNEL CAKE, FRIES, AND ALL THE GOOD STUFF. THE TEAM TELLS US PLANS FOR THE NEW OFFERINGS HAVE BEEN IN THE WORKS SINCE JANUARY, BUT FOR RUDY, HE SAYS THE MONTHS OF HARD WORK WILL ALL PAY OFF. FOR US, WE PUT A LOT, A LOT OF TIME AND WORK INTO IT, BUT THE ENJOYABLE FACTOR IS WHEN YOU SEE THE KIDS ENJOY IT. OUR WHY IS TO BE ABLE TO MAKE THE MOST IMPACT WE CAN IN A POSITIVE MANNER TO THE COMMUNITY, AND THAT’S OUR FORWARD FOCUSED THINKING. AND IT’S ALL LEADING UP TO THE BIG DAY ON NOVEMBER 26TH, WHEN AVALANCHE EXPRESS WELCOMES ITS FIRST GUEST OF THE SEASON. BUT IF YOU CAN’T GET OUT IN NOVEMBER, NO WORRIES BECAUSE THEY’RE GOING TO BE OPEN UNTIL MID MARCH, SO IT GIVES YOU PLENTY OF TIME TO COME O
